Im planning a trip to S. Korea to see my husband, hes in the Air Force, and we want our 6 month old daughter to come with me. Has anyone flown for that length of time with an infant? How did they do? Any tips/tricks i should know about for keeping her quite? And how did the child do during take off/landing??

Safe absolutely. I flew with my 1 month old last month across the US (from origin to destination about 9 hours including layovers). Most of the newer planes have better pressurization than the old ones, so I had no problems with take off/landing and ears. He actually ate just before take off, and slept for most of the flight. I did have both a bottle and a pacifier ready in case his ears bothered him.

If any of the airline or airport officials offer help, say yes. The hardest part for me was actually security, but a TSA official helped me carry my bins to a bench so I could carry the baby. Also, at the bench, I was able to lay my baby on a blanket in the bin which kept him safe and confined while I put my shoes on, put my laptop back, put my liquids back, etc. I also had a flight attendant offer to put my bags in the overhead bin. I was also able to board early which helped me get the baby situated without feeling the pressure of other people trying to board. However, if you have a wiggly baby who hates to be confined, board last so you can confine them at the last possible minute.

I requested an aisle seat so I could move up and down the aisle, and stand up when necessary. Definitely take your car seat - check with the airline and compare just buying a full fare discount seat vs. a discounted with the airline infant seat price. Sometimes, you'll find it cheaper to buy the seat online. If your plane has the 2 seat only on the side- take it. You have to put the car seat against the window.

You know your child. If she is wiggly or likes to move around, plan on spending any gate time moving around, and letting her down to stretch. I am a baby wearer, so I was able to wear my baby in the airport with no problems, and on the plane. When I fly with him again, I will buy a seat to give him his own space.

With toys, the more you can secure them (think of the toys that attach to car seats) the less time you will spend diving under seats, and asking neighbors if you can have them back. Also, only bring out one or two toys at a time, putting them away before you bring out a new one. That way, baby will think they are new each time and you can get away with only 6 - 8 rather than a ton.

Be patient, and be calm. If you are trying to calm your crying baby, then other passengers tend to be nicer. My baby falls asleep in the car, and the plane was the same motion for him so he slept for the entire flight, only waking for food. It was the following day that was harder for me with the baby and the time zones. On the way back because I flew red eye, baby had no time zone adjustment problems.

At what age should infants be able to sit up on their own?

My son is 6 1/2 months old. He was a 5 week early preemie and had tons of problems keeping him in the hopsital until his due date. His development has been going fine. But he will not sit up on his own. My friends baby starting sitting up just before 6 months. I know better than to compare but I just wanted to get some other opinions. He grabs toys, rolls over, laughs, etc. He just doesn't sit up. Thanks for the advice!

All babies develop at their own rate, he just may take his sweet time sitting up. Your right about the comparing part, I think that makes every woman worry about their child.
He will eventually get it, if your worried about it speak to his doctor about it.

Really, what I would suggest, thinking about Montessori, is your actual environment. Not so much specific activities, but I would look and see whether the environment is set up for the child. When your daughter is old enough to crawl, is everywhere she crawls safe for her?

Right now, language is playing a huge role in development. Not that she'll start talking, but it is important to make sure you talk to her a lot, sing and play games, and she sees positive communication from you.

My 10 week old infant has been gaining certain abilities at a very fast rate. He started trying to lift his head the day after he was born. At 3 weeks old he had full control of his head and learned how to roll over from his tummy to his back. At 7.5 weeks he started trying to roll from his back to his stomach. At 8 weeks he started trying to crawl. He can't get his knees under him but he manages to travel across the designated play spot at a very slow pace. He hates tummy time and fights to get out of the position which results in the rolling over and crawling. I try to encourage play with toys because tummy time is good for him but he just screams so he has gotten limited practice. At 10 weeks he can almost sit, has full control of his back, can roll from tummy to back, can almost roll from back to tummy, and is in the process of gaining skills to crawl. He also has a very strong grip and very strong legs. When we are holding him he tries to stand on our laps. If he is laying down and holding our hands, if we try to pull our hands away, instead of him letting go he holds on and his whole body comes up with us.
What causes this abnormal amount of strength and skill development?
How can I get him to have more tummy time without screaming his head off?
Is this considered a birth defect?
This is not me thinking my child is special or trying to brag. Some of the stuff he's doing typically doesn't occur till 5 months or later. I'm asking what can cause this and if it's reason for concern.

Your baby is on a normal development track. Being "almost" able to do something is not the same as doing it. He does not have full control of his back if he can not sit unsupported. Babies try to make the motions of crawling often for months before actually being able to do so. Rolling over can easily occur early depending on the muscles he is using to accomplish the task. I am not trying to minimize your son's performance, but from a developmental standpoint he is not so advanced that you have need to worry about something being wrong. Just let him develop at his own pace.

How do I price items for a garage sale?

Typical rule of thumb; customers at garage sales will pay ten cents on the dollar; so if you bought something for $10, asking $1 would be about right.

If you don't want to go through the hassle of having a garage sale or selling the items on Ebay, I highly recommend donating the goods. When you donate something you can get a tax refund for 1/3 of the item's value, so if you paid $10 for something you would get about $3 back. My husband and I did this last year when we cleaned out our basement. Instead of having a garage sale, we called the Salvation Army and they came and picked everything up. It was SO EASY and we got $1,100 back in tax refund just from the items we donated.

If you do decide to donate the items, make sure you get a receipt from the organization and keep a list of all the items you donate.

How to encourage back to front rolling in a 6 month old?

When you're on the floor playing with her, get her really excited about a toy that you hold just out of reach. Move it in the direction you want her to roll and when she's all the way on one side drag it across the floor slowly so she has to reach above her head and roll to try to get it. Don't be discouraged if she doesn't get it fright away, and don't push he too much either.

It sounds like she's doing great, just isn't interested in rolling onto her tummy. Trust me, its easier thatway - ever since Ella figured it out changing her diaper has been crazy difficult - as soon as the old one is off she flips over and tries crawling away!! Trying to hold down a squiggly baby AND get a new diaper on is quite a challenge

I used F for fthe number of First Babies and R for the number of Real Babies. All I am sure of is that F is greater than or equal to zero, R is greater than or equal to zero and that F is greater than or equal to 2R. I am unsure of the other equations needed to be graphed, since I keep getting the wrong answers. The correct answer is 320 First Babies and 160 Real Babies. How do you get that as a maximum value?

I am going to be getting my son a new car seat because he no longer fits in his old one. The new one is forward facing. In the old car seat, we have a bar that has rattles and a light up musical frog that my son loves to play with. Anyone have any ideas for an awesome car seat toy? When deciding on any toy to be allowed in the car, think about what's going to happen in an accident and it goes flying. This will sound silly, but its a simple test to decide whether it should be allowed as a toy in the car: smack yourself upside the head with it. did it hurt? If not, go for it, if it hurt you, think about how much more it will hurt a baby, whose skull is softer, and when in an accident it will hit with a lot more force. Ican't at all remember who made them, but check your local kids resale shop (like Once Upon a Child) since they seem to have them often: soft toy steering wheels so child can play-drive while in the car.

However, a bigger issue here, would be how old is your child and what size? Sounds like he's outgrowing an infant carrier car seat? Kids do not go from infant carrier seat straight to forward facing seat. The next step is a rear facing convertible car seat. Most state laws require kids to be rear facing until at least 20lbs and 1 year, but more importantly, the laws of physics say kids should stay rear facing as long as they possibly can. Its THAT much safer. The old 20lbs/1 year rule is just that. OLD. It came about in the 1980's when our seats were only capable of rear facing to 20lbs and we didn't know any better. Now we definitely know better and all current convertible seats rear face to at least 30lbs, but its hard getting people to realize this.
Turning kids forward at 20lbs/1year is an outdated practice that could cost you your child's life!
1)A forward-facing child under 2 years old is 5 times more likely to be killed or seriously injured in a crash than a rear-facing child of the same age.
2)A child's vertabrae do not fully fuse until 3-6 years old, before then, she is at great risk for internal decapitation. The spinal column can stretch up to 2 inches in a crash BUT the spinal cord can only stretch up to 1/4 inch before it snaps and baby is gone.
3)Current research suggests that children under the age of two years are 75 percent less likely to die or be seriously injured when they are riding rear facing.
4)In a recent article from Injury Prevention, it was found that the odds of severe injury to forward facing children age 12-23 months old was 5.32 times higher than a rear facing child. (Car Safety Seats For Children: Rear Facing For Best Protection; Injury Prevention 2007; 13:398-402.)

It works this way: when you get in an accident and run into something, the car stop suddently, but everything and everyone in the car keeps moving in the direction the car was moving when it stopped, in most accidents, this is forward. So in an accident with a child in a forward facing seat, his head, the heaviest part of the body on babies and toddlers, flies forward very forcefully and easily snaps. If that same child is in a rear facing seat, his head tries to fly forward but is supported by the back of the rear facing seat, so there is no stress put on the child's neck and spine.

My friend is having a baby shower for her son who is due sometime in 3-4 months. Im not sure. Im on a budget but want to make her a nice basket. I plan on diapers and some onesies and some other small things. I know she is looking for jake footie pajamas and has dc shoes on her wish list. I dont know if I can get her all that but I do want to know the cheapest places to find baby items. We have a walmart and a dollar store ao it may need to be online. If anyone else has any ideas for a basket let me know. I am not sure yet whether she will be using breast or bottle. Should I get some bibs or a blanket?

Um, does DC Shoes even make sizes for infants? I wouldn't get her name brand stuff as the baby will outgrow it quickly. I don't know about the Jake footie pajamas either.

Amazon and Wal-mart has some cheap shipping options too.

I would consider getting her the onesies packs that Wal-mart sells. I would throw in some teethers (a set of 3 is cheap). A glowhorse or a glow-worm in the toy section of Wal-mart is a good buy because every baby I've seen loves them. I would consider a package of regular cloth diapers for burping. Bibs I'd hold off on. Receiving blankets maybe but those big plush ones aren't actually recommended till the child is out of the SIDS range. I would consider a sleeper gown. Baby shampoo and wash clothes are good for baskets.

Any clothes you get, I'd recommend buying in the 3-6 or 6-9 months range. A lot of people will buy clothes in the 0-3 range or newborn so that way the baby has stuff to grow into.

He already has hours of playing, reading, listening to music and other people talk, visual media, and bouncer/swing time. Is there any other jingles or cute little games I can play with him besides peek-a-boo, nursery rhymes, finding dropped items, tickling, and various toys?

good old blocks is a classic, touch feel and smell things, outside is obviously good with lots of bird noises, and pretty smelling flowers, soft light isnt as intrusive, sounds like botanical gardens is the best bet, also what about pets? Rabbits are cool

Do infants really play with toys or is it more a matter of peek-a-boo, etc. All the "toys" that I see for babies seem to be either teething items or "clutch" toys (not sure if these do anything more than just give baby something to hold). Seems like you wouldn't need a special toy for that. Any thoughts?

My son never likeed any of those infant toys. He did use the doorway bouncer, walker, exersaucer quite a bit. Also a baby gym, board books and that lullaby seahorse thing. Also there is this turtle that puts stars on the ceiling... Turtle star night light

How does my baby compare to your baby at 3 months of age?

My baby is 3 months old and I thought he was on track in development until I went to a play group last week and saw a baby who was 3 1/2 months old who seemed leaps and bounds ahead of my baby. This is where my baby is at:

he weighs 13 pounds 4 ounces. He sleeps about 3-4 hours at night then I feed him and he'll sleep another 2-3 hours. He eats about 25-30 ounces a day, about 90% breastmilk (I pump) and the rest formula. He hates being on his stomach, just bobs his head and cries. He isn't even close to rolling over yet. He can hold his head fairly sturdy, but not total control. He can handle some weight on his legs if I hold him. He stares at hanging toys but doesn't reach for them. He can't hold a toy on his own. He has periods of about 20-30 minutes of happy awake times before he wants to sleep, he naps on and off all day.

How does this compare to your baby's development at 3 months?

Well, first of all, I know it's soooo tempting, but try not to compare your baby with anybody else's. Every baby develops at their own pace. When you take your baby in for his doctors visits, they can give you some average guidelines for development. If your baby falls way behind in development, your doc will let you know.

But, to answer your question, it sounds like your son is quite similar to how mine was at 3 months. He had NO interest in being on his tummy, would scream if left on it for more than a few seconds. He also still had bobble-head, and only stared at toys, never reached for them. His naps were on and off all day too, with 6 hours sleeping at night, feeding, and another 4 hours sleeping.

He is now 9 months old and still has not crawled! And he has only just cut his first tooth. We recently met a baby the same age as my son who is walking and has 8 teeth. It's hard, but just try to enjoy where your baby's at. When he starts hitting those milestones, it'll be so exciting for you, and once he gets one thing, it'll be everything else coming on fast right after!

I found that my son was much happier when he could sit up on his own (not until 6 or 7 months old).

What toys are good for a 3 month old baby girl and what activities can i have with her?

My daughter is just days till she's 3 months old and her sleeping pattern has already changed. She's now awake during the morning and afternoon hours with 30 minute naps in between and she sleeps thru the night and now I don't really know what to do with her when she's awake other than carrying her and talking to her. What else is there to do and what toys do they play with at 3 months?

My son loved Baby Einstein dvds at 3 months and he loved activity mats that had toys hanging from them, also small hand toys are good like rattles and teethers and chimes and all those small toys on the toy aisle at walmart and babiesrus, anything they can really grip well is awesome!!

our cats think foil is a special toy designed just for them, we've always used contact paper. since its clear, they never know if its up there or not, and would rather not relive their first experience with it! congrats on the baby, and good luck!

How do you decorate a baby's room if you are co-sleeping? How long can she sleep in a cradle?

I have a happy 5 month old daughter. My husband and I are dedicated to attachment parenting. She sleeps in a cradle next to our bed half the night and then joins us in our bed for her night feed at 2AM. Sometimes she wakes up with us. Sometimes she wakes up in her cradle.

I attachment parent and did co-sleeping with an Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper with my son as an infant... when my son reached the weight limit (at 7 months) we got him a crib and put it in his own room along with his toys and books and pictures on the wall -- nothing fancy, just a place to start putting all of his stuff, and a place to play.

We never "forced" him to sleep there. At first, we would let him take a nap in his new crib... We let him play in his room during the day... (meanwhile, he was sleeping nights in our bed since he was too big for the Co-Sleeper)... after a couple weeks, he understood that he had his own room, and would even crawl over, push the door open and go inside to play with his toys. He started building up positive associations with his room (rather than associations of it being like a prison). We let him initiate most of the time he spent in his room (instead of us sticking him in there).

Once he started napping in his crib with no problems, we started putting him down at night (this was at 12 months old)... if he cried, one of us would immediately go in, pick him up and rock him etc and then put him back down... we NEVER let him "cry it out"... we never wanted to make him think that going in the crib = being alone.

For a couple weeks, this was tedious (we would put baby to bed 25 times before he would go to sleep)... but eventually he trusted the situation (because we go in IMMEDIATELY if he cries) enough that we put him down now (at 15 months) and he smiles at us, hugs his teddy bear and goes to sleep. He wakes extra early (5 am) for a diaper change and to cuddle in mom&dad's bed for an hour or two until breakfast... so we are still in transition...

I think the main thing with attachment parenting is to let the child choose independence, instead of forcing it. Take it slow... eventually the child is going to want/need their own room, so set one up where they have fun (toys etc) read books to her in there etc... and once she enjoys spending time there she will naturally want to sleep there as well.

There are no rules, other than let your child lead you... children know what they want/need, so as long as you pay attention to her signals of readiness, you will know what/when to do her own room.

So I'm trying to be conscientious of everyone and their budgets as I register for our first baby. I am currently listed for 2 (Target and Babies R Us) in hope that it makes for more convenient shopping for everyone involved. I'm having 3 showers (his family, my friends since I don't have family in the states, and work). We make more than his family, or mine and I want everyone to feel comfortable making purchases. I also donât want anyone to feel as if Iâm asking for too much. Itâs a delicate topic. SO⦠Is this a good amount of product or too much? Is it realistic? Too expensive? Editing to add that my parents bought the crib, mattress, dresser and changing table. So that's taken care of. I'd buy it all myself, and don't really care if I have to. I just don't want to limit people. The only thing I might get sooner, rather than waiting is the carseat, since you never really know when you'll need it, and its kind of importaint....
Also failed to mention that I directly report to the owner and CEO of my company and I feel as if they'll get me a larger item for the work shower. So I feel as if I have to have something larger for purchase if that makes sense.

My registry is a list of items that I would purchase even if no one bought them for me. I donât need gifts. I can buy this all and it wonât affect my finances. People would want to stab me, as people really do want to have a village feel in a new baby. Iâd welcome any gift, and really even a card if that were all they can afford. It is not about the gift, itâs about celebrating my new baby!

Oh, and thanks for adding all this up for me. Now that I see the total, itâs not that much. I have friends that have spent that much on baby furniture alone. But I guess this is like the Olympics and youâre the Russian judge that low balls and nitpicks, and whoâs opinion just gets tossed out in the end. Thereâs always the bitter, jealous, negative-Nelly, and here and now itâs youâ¦

okay this might shock you, but your grand total of things that you think you need for this first baby... is over two thousand dollars. i know cuz i added it up on my calcuator that's a lot of stuff and most of it will be obsolete in about a year. you could actually put a down payment on a house with money like that. i am not trying to be rude or mean in any way, but i do think you are going over board here.
here are a couple of my observations about your list... no offense just observations okay..
the breast pump is private should be purchased by baby's mom and dad
there are great stroller car seat combos for less than what you have the car seat listed for.
the spoons can be purchased at the dollar store
the humidifier should be bought by the parents if the child needs it
what did our grand parents do without a color screen baby monitor?
there are awesome pack and plays out there for under a hundred dollars (mine even came with a dual level mattress position and a changing center.)

p.s. before you get angry and think that i'm against the whole idea of these registries, cuz i'm really not, i just think that when a baby comes everyone usually brings really cool stuff to the showers and with you having three, i doubt very much that your little one is going to be missing out on anything.

Ok, I have an assignment to create an infant toy and I'm totally clueless!!! I have a baby but she isn't into toys yet. So what do you like for your babies to play with? And what interests them?

Color, something they can grab themselves. Texture is also important to me when looking for toys, I want to safely expose them to different touch. Nothing that can potentially get wrapped around a finger or neck.
I personally don't get toys with batteries. I want any noise to be generated by the child or non-mechanical music. (bells, crackle paper, etc.) I think this has helped my children's imagination and creativeness. Just something that works for my family.

Maybe post an ad on Craig's list seeking donations. Or, get a loan from a bank and buy used stuff.
Or, she could ask around at existing day care centers to see if one of them wants to sell their established business and buy the supplies/business with a loan and payments.

Relying on donations to open a business is risky. If she doesn't have enough money to get the essential supplies to open she may want to wait until she has money saved up to open her business. Or get a business partner to front the money.

What age did you move your kiddo from the baby bath to the real bath?

My 16-month old still uses the infant-toddler bath, and I like it because it contains him a little better, it's cleaner, and doesn't use as much water. He seems like he's getting a little cramped though, so I'm just wondering at what age others transfer to the big tub for baths.

This is a preference thing much more than anything else. As soon as you or he is ready, go for it! And at 16 months he can sit up, and should be walking so no fear of him sliding into the water readily. If he and you are ready switch, and if you're worried that he may not like it, let him splash more with the bubbles, maybe try a new boat toy. Something new that he can associate with switching to the bigger bath, to make it more fun and an easier switch.
Myself, I never used a baby bath, just the bath tub itself, I started out climbing in with my daughter and holding her while i bathed her and let her kick and splash and it became easier when she could sit up and play more. Then at a year we introduced the shower-head for more fun! And it's worked great, my daughter takes both baths and showers since the age of 3, now at 5 she cleans better than my husband some days :)
{Try the tub-stickers, the ones you put on the bottom of the shower to give more grib when you stand. They even come in cute fishy designs, so slipping is less of a worry as well. They should give you more confidence in letting him sit up and play in the big tub.}

What is the best car seat toy for a forward facing carseat?

I am going to be getting my son a new car seat because he no longer fits in his old one. The new one is forward facing. In the old car seat, we have a bar that has rattles and a light up musical frog that my son loves to play with. Anyone have any ideas for an awesome car seat toy? When deciding on any toy to be allowed in the car, think about what's going to happen in an accident and it goes flying. This will sound silly, but its a simple test to decide whether it should be allowed as a toy in the car: smack yourself upside the head with it. did it hurt? If not, go for it, if it hurt you, think about how much more it will hurt a baby, whose skull is softer, and when in an accident it will hit with a lot more force. Ican't at all remember who made them, but check your local kids resale shop (like Once Upon a Child) since they seem to have them often: soft toy steering wheels so child can play-drive while in the car.

However, a bigger issue here, would be how old is your child and what size? Sounds like he's outgrowing an infant carrier car seat? Kids do not go from infant carrier seat straight to forward facing seat. The next step is a rear facing convertible car seat. Most state laws require kids to be rear facing until at least 20lbs and 1 year, but more importantly, the laws of physics say kids should stay rear facing as long as they possibly can. Its THAT much safer. The old 20lbs/1 year rule is just that. OLD. It came about in the 1980's when our seats were only capable of rear facing to 20lbs and we didn't know any better. Now we definitely know better and all current convertible seats rear face to at least 30lbs, but its hard getting people to realize this.
Turning kids forward at 20lbs/1year is an outdated practice that could cost you your child's life!
1)A forward-facing child under 2 years old is 5 times more likely to be killed or seriously injured in a crash than a rear-facing child of the same age.
2)A child's vertabrae do not fully fuse until 3-6 years old, before then, she is at great risk for internal decapitation. The spinal column can stretch up to 2 inches in a crash BUT the spinal cord can only stretch up to 1/4 inch before it snaps and baby is gone.
3)Current research suggests that children under the age of two years are 75 percent less likely to die or be seriously injured when they are riding rear facing.
4)In a recent article from Injury Prevention, it was found that the odds of severe injury to forward facing children age 12-23 months old was 5.32 times higher than a rear facing child. (Car Safety Seats For Children: Rear Facing For Best Protection; Injury Prevention 2007; 13:398-402.)

It works this way: when you get in an accident and run into something, the car stop suddently, but everything and everyone in the car keeps moving in the direction the car was moving when it stopped, in most accidents, this is forward. So in an accident with a child in a forward facing seat, his head, the heaviest part of the body on babies and toddlers, flies forward very forcefully and easily snaps. If that same child is in a rear facing seat, his head tries to fly forward but is supported by the back of the rear facing seat, so there is no stress put on the child's neck and spine.

I have toys that hang from the infant seat handle. I have one of those mirrored/lightup toys. I've also just started putting stuffed animals in front of her so she can talk to them. This is helping a little. Is there anything else I can do?

Some good advice so far.

Re: infant seat handles being REQUIRED to be down in the car, not true. Some are required, some aren't. Read your manual to be sure. Graco allows you to keep it up if you want. At least one infant seat actually requires you to leave the handle UP in the car. So double-check those manuals!

Only soft toys or mirrors in the car. A one-pound object becomes a 30-pound object flying at you in a 30 mile an hour crash. If it's not something you would actually be okay with throwing at your head, don't bring it in the car.

Some babies are just really unhappy car riders, no matter what. As a previous poster said, angle can have a lot to do with it. If your baby has good head and neck control you can move him/her to a convertible carseat, still rear-facing, of course, and install it as upright as is comfortable for your baby, but no more than about a 30 degree angle. 45 degree angle is only required for infants without good head control.

Please don't think that turning baby around at 1 year old and 20 pounds is the "cure" for this. My daughter became a much unhappier car rider when she was 13 months old and 25 pounds and I turned forward. Her legs dangle when forward, putting strain on her back. When rear-facing she can rest her legs on the vehicle seatback, almost like a recliner chair. She also started getting carsick. :o(

Knowing what I know now, I'd have kept her rear-facing to the maximum limits of her convertible carseat, which was 35 pounds. All seats on the market in the US today rear-face to at least 30 pounds, and the American Academy of Pediatrics has recommended for 5 years now to keep kids rear-facing to the maximum limits of a convertible seat for optimum safety. Too bad lots of pediatricians don't keep up-to-date with their own agency's policy statements, and still recommend the outdated policy.

I agree with one of the other answerer's you need to register and let them know that you are requesting Christmas help for your children.
In my area there is a coat and hat drive, school supply drive, food bank drive, toys for tots drive, soup kitchens, and I am sure that there are some I have forgotten to mention!

Eliminating d's and g's by subtraction in equation 1 and 2 gives

t = -t + 8.2 - 2

t + t = 8.2 - 2

2t = 6.2

t = 3.1

Putting t back into equation 1 gives

3.1 + d + g = 8.2

d + g = 8.2 - 3.1

d + g = 5.1

Putting t back into equation 2 gives

d + g = 3.1 + 2

d + g = 5.1..............which is the same equation as 1

Now, looking at equation 3

g = d - 0.3

So, g - d = -0.3

d - g = 0.3

Now we have 2 equations in 2 unknowns

Adding gives 2d = 5.4

d = 2.7

Putting d back into either one of these gives

g = 2.4

Toys = $3.1 billion

Games = $2.4 billion

Dolls = $2.7 billion

is it me or do some infant toys look oddly familiar to dog toys?

some of my sons toys look exactly like dog toys. its kind of odd to me lol. these are toys that have been given to me though, i wouldnt buy him something that looks like it could be for a dog.

has anybody else noticed this though?
and how do you keep the dog from getting your infants toys when he/she is playing on the floor?

Yes a lot of them are practically interchangeable. Another thing that I think is funny is that both dogs and babies are greatly rewarded for learning to roll over. It strikes me as funny when I am cheering for my son to roll over.
